About
Specialists in the Dynamics 365 code nobody wants to touch
Plugins, workflow activities and integrations that run your business, and that nobody can safely change.
Who we are
Plugin Rescue is run by Mitch Milam, a Dynamics 365 developer, and is a service of xRM Coaches, LLC. We exist for one situation: the code behind your Dynamics 365 or Dataverse system works, but nobody can open it, test it or change it with confidence.
That usually means the developer left and took the source code with them, or a platform migration or Microsoft change is about to force someone to open a compiled assembly that nobody understands.
About Mitch
Mitch has worked with Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365 for over twenty years, is a ten-time Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP), has published several books on Dynamics 365, and runs a popular YouTube channel.
Over the years, Mitch has written hundreds of custom plugins and workflow activities for customers worldwide.
What we work on
- Custom plugins registered in Dynamics 365 and Dataverse
- Custom workflow activities used inside classic workflows
- Integrations and services that import or sync data with Dynamics 365
- Assemblies where the original source code is lost, incomplete or out of date
How we work
Recover before you rewrite
A rewrite swaps a system you can't change for one you can't trust, and throws away business rules that exist only in the compiled code. We get the source back first.
Write down what it does today
Not what anyone remembers it doing: a specification read out of the working code, including rules nobody documented.
Prove it with tests
Tests that run without touching your production system, against real data where we can, so a change can be checked instead of hoped for.
Show the difference
Every fix is marked at the line it changes, so every change can be reviewed or reverted. You keep the source, the documentation and the tests.
See the work
Our case studies show the approach on real projects, including a lost-source integration that had run in production for years and an upgrade of a widely used workflow assembly.
